Debt defense & negotiation
Being sued, or need a debt settled?
Getting served is scary, and so is a debt you can’t pay. Don’t ignore either one. Our attorneys can help you negotiate or fight it.
Your options
Do nothing
The worst option. If you don’t respond, the collector can get a default judgment. Depending on your state, that can mean wage garnishment, bank levies, liens, and added court costs, attorney fees and interest.
Negotiate it
Our attorneys can work with the collector toward a settlement you can live with.
Fight it
If the collector can’t prove the debt, or broke the law collecting it, our attorneys can defend the case.
Debt negotiation
Not being sued, but want a debt settled? Our attorneys handle debt negotiation under a separate fee agreement and work with the creditor or collector toward a settlement you can afford. If you’ve been served or already have a judgment, debt negotiation is the path for you too.
Settling a debt doesn’t guarantee it comes off your credit report, especially with original creditors. If your goal is getting a collection removed, ask your advisor about pay-for-delete.
Court deadlines are short. If you’ve been served, call right away.
