About working with us

Are you a law firm or a credit repair company?

We’re a law firm. That means we can do things a credit repair company can’t: represent you to debt collectors, and when the law has been broken, negotiate or file suit.

How does the process work?

Your credit advisor goes through all three of your credit reports with you in a free consultation, you pick a plan, and we challenge items that are inaccurate, incomplete or can’t be verified. See How it works.

How long does it take?

Every report is different. Your advisor gives you a realistic timeline once we’ve reviewed yours, and we work in rounds of about 35 to 40 days, with a results review after each round.

What does it cost?

Your advisor walks you through Monthly and Pay-Per-Deletion on the call. With Pay-Per-Deletion, you don’t pay till it goes away.

Why do I need credit monitoring?

An active Credit Armor credit monitoring subscription is required while you’re a client. Credit Armor is our monitoring partner, a separate company with its own fee. It lets us see your reports and scores and track every change while we work your file.

Is the consultation free?

Yes. Your credit advisor goes through your entire report with you, explains what’s helping and hurting your score, and gives you a plan and credit education whether or not you sign up.

What is pay-for-delete?

When a collection is verified as accurate, we can often still get it removed. We’ve built relationships with hundreds of collection companies that agree to delete a collection when it’s paid through us. Not every company agrees, and some require the full balance.

What’s the difference between pay-for-delete and debt negotiation?

Pay-for-delete is about getting a collection off your report. Debt negotiation is about settling what you owe for less, and is handled by our attorneys under a separate fee agreement. If you’ve been sued or have a judgment, debt negotiation is the path. See Being sued?

Will collectors keep calling me?

Once a third-party debt collector knows a law firm represents you, it generally has to deal with us instead of you. See Collection calls.

I’m being sued. Can you help?

Yes. Call us at 1-800-994-3070. Court deadlines are short, so call right away. See Being sued?

About credit

Does challenging items hurt my score?

No. Challenging items on your report does not lower your score.

What are the three credit bureaus?

Equifax, Experian and TransUnion. Each keeps its own report on you, which is why your reports, and your scores, can be different.

Why do I have more than one credit score?

Each bureau has its own data, and lenders use different scoring models and versions. Your advisor looks at all three reports.

What is the Fair Credit Reporting Act?

A federal law that gives you the right to an accurate credit report and the right to challenge information that is inaccurate, incomplete or can’t be verified.

How long do negative items stay on my report?

Most negative items can stay for up to 7 years. Some bankruptcies can stay for up to 10. Items that are inaccurate or can’t be verified can be removed sooner.

Can I fix my own credit?

Yes, anyone can dispute their own reports. What we add is a law firm: legal review of your file, leverage when companies break the law, and protection from collectors.

Ready to fight back?
